Grant A. Fore is a research associate in the STEM Education Innovation and Research Institute at IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis). Mr. Fore is also a PhD candidate in anthropology at the University of Cape Town in Cape Town, South Africa. His research is primarily focused on the teaching and learning of ethics through experiential pedagogies (e.g., community engagement), specifically within the contexts of engineering design and the ecological/environmental sciences. Through his scholarship, Mr. Fore hopes to promote learning opportunities for post-secondary STEM students that take seriously alternative ways of being and doing that value the ethical becoming of humans and the things they co-create through a commitment to relationality, interconnectivity, indebtedness, beauty, care, reflection, and inquiry. As a SEIRI research associate, Mr. Fore also carries out responsibilities related to the assessment and evaluation of STEM education programming.
