Amber Rollings is pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Earth Sciences at IUPUI. With SEIRI, Amber works as a research assistant on a National Science Foundation IUSE project seeking to better understand the impact of place attachment, civic engagement, and science literacy relationships via quantitative surveys and focus groups. The project is designed to analyze the effectiveness of course module curriculum pertaining to and located within sustainable farm environments as well as traditional classroom settings. The IUSE project is a collaboration between the Center of Urban Ecology at Butler and the STEM Education and Innovation Research Institute at IUPUI.
